During my internship, I have had the opportunity to work in various laboratories, assisting fellow researchers with data collection and analysis. These experiences have allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge and experience.
I am deeply grateful to Dr. Uzun for her unwavering guidance, patience, and dedication in mentoring me from the very beginning. I also want to extend my appreciation to my colleagues, Ege Güven and Ali Çagan Kaya, whose support and collaboration have made this journey even more rewarding.
Beyond this, the laboratories also provided me with valuable opportunities and resources to conduct data collection for several of my own research projects.

TÜBİTAK 2209-A: Sociolinguistic and Pragmatic Patterns of Intra-word Code-switching
Supervisor: Dr. Emre Yağlı (Hacettepe University)
Role: Project Coordinator / Undergraduate Researcher
Description: This project investigates intra-word Turkish-English code-switching patterns that violate the Free Morpheme Constraint, focusing on their sociolinguistic motivations and pragmatic functions in everyday speech. Using survey data and semi-structured interviews, the study examines how such forms are shaped by social context, speaker awareness, attitudes, and interactional purposes.

Role: Scholar-Raw Data Annotation
Description: The project is on the acoustic and phonological characteristics of compound word production in Turkish, focusing on spoken language data to provide insights into phonetic and suprasegmental variation.

NÖROM: Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence – Neurolinguistics Laboratory
Established through the collaboration of METU, Ankara University, and Gazi University, the Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence brings together a diverse range of interdisciplinary laboratories.
At the Neurolinguistics Laboratory, I primarily contributed to data collection for several research projects. This experience also allowed me to take part in various experiments conducted by fellow researchers and gain insight into different experimental designs in neurolinguistics.
This laboratory is led by Dr. Aydın and Dr. Uzun.
diLab: Ankara University Linguistics Laboratory
diLab, the linguistics laboratory of Ankara University’s Faculty of Language, History, and Geography, specializes in phonological data collection, eye-tracking, and pupil dilation research.
Led by Dr. Uzun, the lab offers a supportive environment for students and researchers conducting experimental studies. As a lab member, I use its facilities to collect data for my research projects and benefit from its collaborative and research-oriented atmosphere.
Additionally, thanks to Dr. Aydın, I had the opportunity to experiment with a galvanic skin response kit and observe its measurements and outputs firsthand.
