about me

My name is [beɾˈkaj]. I am a linguist and researcher currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics and Phonetics (TELPh) at Université Paris Cité. I received my B.A. in English Linguistics from Hacettepe University and also worked as a research intern at the AU-BRC Phonetics laboratory.

My research explores the cognitive and linguistic mechanisms underlying language processing with particular interests in psycholinguistics, phonetics and phonology, morphology and computational approaches to language. Apart from these, I enjoy consuming experimental/avant-garde cinema, collecting all kinds of media and experimenting with sounds that feature noise as a primary aspect.
