Faculty of Philosophy, engaging in an intensive programme designed for
students.

- Attended advanced and foundational courses and workshops on the
  neurocognitive foundations of language, including topics in
  psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics and clinical linguistics.

- Developed skills in experimental design, data collection and statistical
  analysis within interdisciplinary research contexts.


Summer School

Participated in ESSLLI 2025, the 35th European Summer School in Logic,
Language and Information, in Bochum, Germany, engaging in collaborative
learning environments designed for graduate and advanced undergraduate

- Gained insights into collecting eye-tracking data and trained in
  psycholinguistics research methodologies during a laboratory internship
  at the Brain Research Center.

- Developed teamwork skills while collaborating in a laboratory setting.

- Assisted with a project involving phonetic formant and prosodic analyses.

- Gained experience in statistical analyses, including GAMM and LMM,
  for research projects.


Research Data Annotation Assistant

- Investigated “Acoustic Phonological Aspects of the Production Processes
  of Turkish Compound Words in Spoken Language”.

- Actively participated in stages of the TÜBİTAK-funded project 223K318
  (1002-A), contributing to its objectives under the supervision of
  Dr. İpek Pınar Uzun.

- Engaged in acoustic-phonological analyses and raw data annotation using
  Praat and ProsodyPro.

  Turkish-English intra-word code-switching that violate the Free
  Morpheme Constraint.

NON-ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Volunteer Language Instructor

- Taught English to primary and middle school students through structured
  lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and
  speaking practice.

TREN: A Corpus Annotation Tool for Code-Switching Data

A semi-automatic annotation application for Turkish-English code-switching
research that supports token-level language labelling, morphology-aware
glossing and interactive manual supervision for building linguistically
annotated corpora.

Turkish-English Intra-Word Code-Switching Corpus

An annotated corpus of Turkish-English intra-word code-switching collected
from Reddit and processed with the TREN annotation system, including
token-level language labels and Leipzig-style morphological glossing.

Add Silence at Beginning and End of Audio Files

A Praat script for batch processing audio files by inserting controlled
silence or white noise at the beginning and end of each file for
standardised acoustic experiment stimuli.
